PTO Officer Attendees: Erika Kramer (Co-Chair), Tom Pasniewski (Co-Chair), Anna Landis (Co-Chair), Amy Shealy (Treasurer)

- A quick round of introductions. Name, child(s) grade, and committee of interest
- Feel free to order food and drink to support Murf’s as they generously provide our PTO meeting space!

* The main goal for our meeting tonight is to plan for Fall class parties. *
Fall Class Parties:
SignUp Genius for party supplies ready for Oct 4 FF
- Activity
K-2: Pin the spider on the web (what does that look like? supplies?)
3-5: Pumpkin putt putt. Use pumpkin trick or treat buckets or carvable craft pumpkins for hole. Check with Lawrence MiniGolf tp user putters (Stacie) golf balls and one/two “holes” per class.
- Snack
Drink: honest juice boxes (Costco, Lauren Folkmann?)
Popcorn: who is checking on donation site: Southwind, Liberty Hall (Erika), KU Athletics. Add popcorn to SignUp genius or monetary amount to cover popcorn from Southwind movie theater ($35/bag)
Sweet: fruit cups, fruit snacks, applesauce pouches. Check the cost for clementines at Costco/Sams (Anna). If we do fruit cups we will need spoons/napkins
- Craft
K-5: Q-Tip skeleton
Skeleton stickers for heads or photocopies to cut and stick/decorate
Q-tips
Glue sticks or glue dots K-2. Liquid glue 3-5
Black construction paper
Committee/Misc updates:
- Treasury Update (Amy)

- Fall Fest plans: Oct 13, 2-4pm at Quail Run, mini golf course, food trucks, pumpkin decorating/craft, wear halloween costumes if you want, read-a-thon booth
- Read-A-Thon: Fall Fundraiser, Read a Coaster let reading take you on a wild ride. Oct 7-21. Prize distribution at Nov assembly.
- Student Shirts - quantity and sizes provided to the printer. Planning on delivery by 9/27 so shirts can be organized for distribution on the morning of 10/2 for assembly and all school photo. Short plug for RAT (Stacie)
Holman will be setting up a webstore for families to order additional shirts. More info to come on this
- STUCO & partnership with PTO. For 3-5th graders, 2 students from each class.. Mr Buckland, Mr King, Mrs Nichols, Mr Hess
- 9/6 - 9/9 applications sent home with students
- 9/20 - application deadline
- 9/27 - selected students notified
- 10/2 - 8 am first STUCO meeting
- Discuss possible events for STUCO and PTO to collaborate
- Landscape & Gardening
- Sunday, October 6th from 1-3pm. Kids are welcome, mine (7 and 4) will probably be joining too. Feel free to share with other QR families; many hands make light work, and there's a lot of it out there for us to do.
We will aim to:
-Clean out front kindergarten garden beds
-Clean out back garden beds
-Collect fallen hedge apples by garden area (safety hazard for walkers)
-Any landscape clean up needed by playgrounds, teacher's patio, entrances
Please bring:
-garden gloves, water bottle, shovel/hoe/rake directly.
