Review of Recent events
- (2) Summer kinder play dates
- Staff welcome back breakfast and QR shirts
- Back to School Bash with Kona & Community Organizations
- Garden & Landscape cleanup day
- Kinder First Day Boohoo/Yahoo
- Reception for Mr. Polk and Mrs. Emery
Upcoming Activities & Events (see PTO 1st Semester Calendar for more dates!)
- 9/3 - Track Club begins, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8 am
- Parent Volunteers needed!
- 9/12 - September PTO meeting
- discuss meeting location options. QR library, QR commons, Murf’s, other suggestions?
- 9/9 - 9/27 - Sports Equipment drive for playground balls (basketball, soccer, etc)
- 10/6 - Fall Decorating (Read-A-Thon)
Student shirts -
- PTO will be providing shirts to all students this year!
- Final student sizes are being collected and timing of delivery is TBD
PTO Committees:
Committees and Chairs expectations:
Each Committee is assigned a PTO co-chair liaison
All Committees are to send representation and provide updates at Monthly PTO meetings.
All expenses should be submitted to PTO Treasurer via Google Form
PTO Co-Chairs Committee Oversight:
Erika - Gardening/Landscape, Book Fair, Decorating, 5th Grade Rec
Tom - Charity Drives, Track Club, Walk/Bike to School (with QR Admin), Staff Appreciation
Anna - Family Events, Social Media, Read-A-Thon, Dine & Donate
ALL - Carnival, Silent Auction, Class Parties, Summer Kinder Playdates, Back to School Bash, Boohoo/Yahoo
Committee currently without chair(s) - Dine & Donate - Blair Schneider has volunteered to Chair this committee
Committee updates:
Garden/Landscape - Dianna - will have a fall workday on 10/6 (same day as decorating)
Room Parents:
- in partnership with PTO - help to plan class parties, party prep night
Opt-in Directory:
- Is this still a “want” from parents? Yes, and preference is for sharing at grade level versus all school.
- Content to be included? All info is opt-in. Not required. Info collected will be provided to QR school families.
